Low-End Carboxyl Film-grade PET Chip for Industrial Film Production
Stable Thermal Film Grade PET Polymer for Package Industry
Description
Film-grade PET Chip enjoys the characteristics of good thermal stability, high cleanliness, fewer impurities, and excellent film-forming properties. It is mainly used to produce packaging film, printing film, aluminized film, bronzing film, matt film, high transparent film, tape film, insulating film, card protection film, etc.
Properties
The intrinsic viscosity mainly affects the strength of the film. When the viscosity reaches a certain value, the strength will no longer rise. Generally speaking, the IV value of film grade PET granule is (0.62-0.68) ± 0.01dl/g. When the film with higher strength is required, PET with a higher IV value should be used.
The melting point indirectly reflects the DEG (diethylene glycol) content, molecular weight distribution, and oligomer content of PET resin. When the melting point is low, the resin has poor heat resistance.
The b value of polyester chips directly affects the color of the film. The measurement is based on the principle of chromatography and photometry and related international standards. And it is tested by a color difference meter using the Hunter (L-whiteness, a-green/red index, b-yellow index) method.
The high content of DEG (diethylene glycol) will affect the heat resistance and light resistance of PET. But because the ether bond in DEG has a certain degree of flexibility, its existence reduces the rigidity of the PET molecule and lowers the melting point of PET. It also reduces the crystallization rate of PET, which is conducive to film pulling.
The content of the terminal carboxyl group (-COOH) not only affects the film drawing performance of chips but also affects the performance of the film. If the content of end groups is too high, it is easy to cause the degradation of the melt and cause the film to break when being stretched.
